Annual Cherry Blossom Prom

The Annual NVHAA Cherry Blossom Prom is usually scheduled in April with tickets going on sale in February.

TO PURCHASE A TICKET contact the Prom Coordinator at nvhaacherryblossomprom@gmail.com for more information.

The annual Cherry Blossom Prom is a spectacular, formal event open to all Northern Virginia area homeschoolers in 8th-12th grades and is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association (NVHAA). You do not want to miss out on this highly-anticipated, once-a-year event! Entertainment is by a live DJ spinning a (clean) wide-variety of old and new tunes to keep everyone out on the dance floor. A photo booth will be on site for you to capture your group’s Prom photos, and scrumptious snack foods and drinks will be available throughout the evening. This event sells out QUICKLY and there are a limited number of tickets available, so you do not want to wait to order your tickets!

NVHAA Chaperones will be stationed throughout the venue – both inside and outside – to ensure the safety of your teens. We look forward to a truly wonderful evening and are delighted to provide your students an opportunity to enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

Date: A Saturday in April, usually 7 – 10 p.m., location of dance is usually in Manassas or Bristow area. For security reasons, the location is not listed, but is printed on the tickets.

Tickets: In order to reserve your tickets, students or parents are required to purchase a ticket through an online website when it is opened.   A limited number of tickets are available, so early purchases are encouraged to ensure you get your tickets.  Sales will begin in late Winter and will stop approximately 1 week prior to the event or if we sell out.

Dress Code:   Admission into the Prom is contingent upon adherence to the specified Dress Code. The Cherry Blossom Prom is a formal event. As such, ladies should wear floor-length ballgowns or short (no shorter than 3″ above the knee) formal dresses. Two-piece, midriff-bearing formals, or gowns with flesh-revealing cutouts should not be worn. Skin-tight dresses will also not be allowed. For gentlemen, tuxes or a suit & tie is the desired dress standard. It is our desire to have our participants use Godly wisdom when selecting a formal that will not be a stumbling block for other Prom attendees.
